What an amazing session I had with Dr. Kara and Dr. Hillary. Their dual focused insight was incredibly helpful in identifying key means for enhancing my health and well-being. Grateful for this opportunity to meet with them.
My genetic test has been a very learning experience yet disconcerting at the same time. To have suspicions proven with a test left me a bit gobsmacked. It was a good awakening that I must be proactive and more conscientious about making better health choices with what I eat and drink. I am now trying to eat vegetables and salad before eating protein and grains to have a “layering effect” so my blood glucose won’t spike so high, and eating less fruit. I’m having half glasses of wine so I can have two half glasses and still enjoy socially drinking. I have my steel cut oats as a savory dish with olive oil and flaked salt instead of maple syrup and milk. Also, using the test results we’ve been able to zero in on what exactly my body needs and Dr. Hillary and Dr. Kara have put together a list of all the supplements and probiotics I should take. It’s a positive step in growing old and staying in good health.
